The job role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Rochford District Council coordinating the diary of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Council and assisting in providing advice to them on civic and ceremonial matters and protocol. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, organising and attending a range of civic events for the Council and dealing with expenditure and receipt of payments relating to civic events. In addition, the successful applicant will work with the the Civic Chauffeur and Support Officers and co-ordinate their.

Whilst previous experience of Civics and Democratic Services work would be beneficial, full training will be given and we are particularly interested in candidates who are professional, organised and flexible.

The role can occasionally involve attendance at evening and weekend events, so the successful candidate must be flexible about their working pattern and willing to work longer hours when civic events are scheduled.
