Finance Business Partner – (Corporate Finance Service)
(Starting salary dependent upon skills and qualifications, progression subject to satisfactory performance)

To help achieve this they are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner in their Corporate Finance Department.
The role will report to Finance Manager. Key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with Service departments within the Council to ensure effective Monthly Budget Monitoring is carried out. Providing budget challenge and escalation as appropriate.
- Provide financial support to the key transformation projects the Council is undertaking.
- Contribute towards the compilation, monitoring and reporting of the Council’s Medium Term Financial Plan and Annual Budget. Assist with the setting of fees and charges.
- Contribute to the closure of the Council’s accounts and preparation of the Statement of Accounts.
- Complete Key Reconciliations and clearance of suspense accounts and ensuring the Council meets all statutory and external reporting requirements.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively under pressure, to deliver positive outcomes. This role will suit an individual who has experience of working in a Local Government environment, including substantial knowledge and understanding of budgeting and budgetary control. Experience in utilisation of financial management systems is desirable as is experience of MS Office suite products.
