About the role:

Are you passionate about social media and digital storytelling?

We are looking for a creative, proactive and experienced Social Media Officer to help deliver our councils’ priorities through engaging, audience-focused content across our corporate social media channels.

Brentwood Borough Council and Rochford District Council have formed a strategic partnership, sharing knowledge, experience and projects for the benefit of both councils. This role is within a Communications Team that works across both councils.

About you:

This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking someone who can demonstrate hands-on experience managing and growing corporate social media accounts, creating original content, moderating online communities, and confidently engaging with a diverse audience in a professional environment.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, brimming with ideas and able to translate council projects, services and achievements into compelling social content that informs, educates and engages residents.

Working arrangements :

We offer hybrid working, but the role operates across both councils and you will be expected to work regularly from the Brentwood and Rochford offices. The role may occasionally require work outside normal hours to cover events.

Please see the attached Job Description for more information.

For an informal chat please contact Leona Murray-Green - leona.murray-green@brentwood.rochford.gov.uk

Please note this is a OneTeam role and the post holder will be employed by Brentwood Borough Council
