The job role

Working within a small Asset Management Team, this post is a dynamic and varied role, encompassing Asset Management, Building Surveying and Facilities Management duties for council owner assets within the Rochford District. The role ensures our property is fit for purpose and able to meet the changing needs of the community and staff.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate from an RICS Accredited Degree surveying discipline, working towards professional membership or holding existing qualification. Relevant experience in a property or building related role will be considered.

Excellent customer focus and liaison skills with colleagues, community groups, contractors, councillors, key stakeholders and consultants are required to enable a proactive service for the use of council assets, along with an enthusiastic team working approach to maximising best efficient use from council owned assets.

Develop capital programme for planned maintenance works with ability to develop specifications for defined projects and manage delivery.

Support the Asset Team in being efficient to deliver its duties day to day with emphasis on small and medium projects and, asset disposal, acquisition and lease negotiations.
