About us
We are a small District Council in South East Essex with good public transport links. This is an exciting time to join the Council as we are looking to rationalise our accommodation for the future with an emphasis on mobile and flexible working with flexible use of space based on good industry practice for staff, Councillors and the community.  

About the role
The successful applicant will take up a role within the Corporate Services team responsible for a range of administrative support for the Leadership Team and diary management for the Leader, Deputy Leader and Leadership Team.  The team undertakes research and project work and provides information and support to Service Areas at peak times as required.  The team also updates the Members’ Bulletin and assists with maintaining the Council’s Constitution and a range of statutory registers for Democratic Services, as well as assisting with the administration of Member training and the organisation of planning site visits.

About you
In addition to excellent verbal communication skills, both on the telephone and face to face, the successful applicant will also require excellent literacy skills, including good spelling, grammar and punctuation. A robust, working knowledge of Microsoft Office software – Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook – is essential, in additional to formal minute-taking skills.  Experience of working in a busy office environment and of working effectively within a team is key to this role.
