The job role
The Rayleigh Windmill and the Old House (Rochford) are licensed for Civil Ceremonies, i.e. Civil Weddings, naming ceremonies and renewal of vows. Since receiving the licence in 2008, the Windmill has developed into a very popular venue and bookings continue to increase year on year. The Old House is a new venue and we hope to be taking bookings soon. Therefore, the Leisure and Cultural Services Team are now recruiting a team of Civil Ceremony Assistants to help meet this demand.

A Civil Ceremony Assistants will manage Civil Ceremonies out of office hours, i.e. at weekends and/ or on Bank Holidays, on an ad hoc basis.

Relevant training will be provided. Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for more information.
